An Airex Pad is a square blue pad that is very soft. It is used to make balance exercises more challenging in order to develop stabilizer muscle strength. These pads are often used in rehabilitation exercises. An Airex Pad can be used with almost any exercise. For example, you can do lunges with your front leg landing on the pad; pushups can be done with one hand on the pad; or you can stand on the pad with one leg while doing bicep curls.
