At some point you’re going to be on vacation, or traveling for work, and there won’t be a gym around to provide weights and cardio machines. It’s easy to just put it off until you get back, but those are just lame excuses.
If you don’t workout for a whole week, it’s going to be tough to get back into a rhythm and I can promise that you’re muscles will let you feel the struggle of getting back to work.
This is a bodyweight workout that I chose to do while I was traveling in Guatemala, supporting the school building efforts of Pencils Of Promise.
The workout consists of 4 rounds of 4 different exercises: 25 pushups, 25 sit-ups, 10 burpees, and 10 pistols on each leg.
If you’re having a hard time keeping correct form on the exercises, just scale the workout for yourself and do a little less. If you can only do 10 or 15 pushups in one set…..DO THAT!!!
Pistols are probably the toughest exercise in this workout. You can spot yourself by holding onto something stable as you squat down.
You can make this workout as easy or as hard as you want. If you want to make it easier, just decrease the number of reps and rest longer in between rounds. To make it harder increase the number of reps, add some weight by wearing a backpack with some heavy contents, or decrease your rest time in between rounds.
