What is: Freestyle Swimming

freestyle swimming

Freestyle swimming is one of the four main swimming movements. It involves lying in the water face down and the arms moving from front to back in an alternating propeller pattern. The legs are in a constant kicking  motion. Breathing can be done similar to the figure above, by twisting your head to one side. Some swimmers take multiple strokes before they lift their head to breathe.
