Power is basically just the rate at which work is performed. To improve power you must do power training which requires high intensity muscle contractions in the shortest amount of time possible. Power is mostly seen in explosive athletes and olympic lifting. To find power multiply the force by the distance, and then divide by the time it took to perform the action.
